About Loraine

Welcome to my website!  Or, more accurately, welcome to my life’s mission, work, calling, whatever you want to name that. In general, the purpose of this mission is to diminish human suffering and make our world happier and lighter. I believe we are transitioning to an existence where surviving is not enough and does not even make sense anymore. We are here to thrive. More concrete, it is my mission to prevent and to help healing as much (childhood) trauma as possible, so our true essence can come to the surface and we can shine our light brightly without restrictions or limitations; and we can be free to be who we are without losing connection to others.

A big dream of mine is to build a school one day, where parents are more involved, and education fits the current needs of our fast paced changing world. The first focus would not be on math or writing but on CONNECTION, mental, emotional and physical health. Academics are important, but they are not the first priority to aim for a better life and a better world. I dream of a school where children learn self-love and learn about quantum physics principles. It is important to not dim the child's natural desire and excitement for learning. Children learn a lot through play and I think that we all should play a lot more in life.

I believe that our (childhood) trauma is at the root of most problems we encounter in life. People may think that (childhood) trauma does not happen to everybody, and that trauma only includes major dramatic experiences. After all, trauma is defined as a deeply distressing or disturbing experience. But, situations that seem of no issue to adults can be deeply disturbing to a child. Some traumas are more severe than others, but trauma is still trauma and deserves the necessary healing. I put “childhood” in parentheses because I believe in a bigger picture that involves the collective trauma in our world, which is being passed on from generation to generation. I also believe that every generation passes on a little less trauma and that this is a natural process of healing. On top of that, I believe healing is happening in an exponential pace.

When parents are unaware of the effects of their behavior on their children, the inner world of their children and their children’s needs, it can cause (childhood) trauma. Often and also often unaware of it, parents are trying to fulfill their own needs and heal their own wounds through their children. This in itself is not a problem, but mostly this happens at the cost of their children’s needs. All of this does not make anybody a bad person or a bad parent, it is simply something to become aware of and something to learn, if we want to bring about healing in this world.

Our lives are a reflection of what we have learned to believe about the world and ourselves. Healing (childhood) trauma comes down to becoming aware of what we have learned to believe about ourselves and about the world, and investigating whether these believes are true. By eliminating the lies, the truth can come to the surface and we can learn the truth about ourselves and about the world. And I can promise you; the truth is that we are worthy of love and fulfillment and that we are good enough. The hardest part about this healing process is finding the bravery to face our fears, our pain and letting go of control.  Life will hand us situations and opportunities all the time in many various ways, it is up to us whether we take advantage of these opportunities or stay in our comfort zones.

As a Life Coach, Healer, and hopefully a source of inspiration, I am here to help and encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities that life hands out. I believe that every person carries all the answers and innate wisdom within themselves and ultimately knows what is best for them. Being raised in certain ways and the loud noise and standards of society can easily make it hard for us to be able to hear that inner voice, and often we mistake whatever we have been taught from the outside as our inner voice. However, I have no doubt that life will speak out when it is time to start looking for that voice again! Therefore, I believe that Life Coaching is about helping people find their own voice and truth, which is the only thing that will ultimately lead to true happiness, peace and love.

As a music artist and performer, I hope to inspire and heal through the language of music and entertainment. What can I say, I love to sing and make music! Music has the power to move us out of our heads and into our hearts.
